Don’t blink or you’ll miss this column. There is little to report, since I’m writing in advance of our unit board meeting and our elections for new unit board members. Half the board will be replaced. The election results are announced at our June membership dinner. Otherwise the news will be in next month’s column.

At the Marin sectional, Fran Dickman took first in a pairs game. Will Watson was first in another pairs game. Stacie Bowman & Elizabeth Strasen were first in their stratification.

STAC week took the place of many sectionals. We had a few players with games over 65%. Judy Fisher & Bonnie Beardsley, Harriel Shea, Gwen & Bruce Graff, Kit Humphrey & Henri Fahri. Perhaps our club does not have more players with these high percentages because the competition is too good.

14 tables turned out for our special Saturday night STAC game. Kit & Henri were first overall. Lynn Yokel was first in the another direction playing with a non-unit member (or is that a unit non-member?). First in the B strat were John Prior & Richard Jacobs. First in C were Lee Dimmitt & Constance Dunckelmann.

I’m sorry to note that Frank Warzek passed away.
