If you want silver points at the club, from August 20 through 26 there will be Swiss STAC games, at the director’s option. The unit will hold a special single-session Swiss game on Sunday, August 26 at noon.
If you’ve been wondering why there were no ballots in June to vote on the unit board members, we had the unusual situation of having no nominations or volunteers to replace the existing members. Almost all board members will be continuing for another two-year term, with the exception of Tania Reyes, who is relocating out of the area. That will leave us without a sectional coordinator. I hope the next one is as organized and thorough as Tania has been. And the bridge center will be a different place without her and her furry companion.

On winning teams in the two-session Swiss were Peter Sun, K-P Cheng, Chee Tung, David Chang, and Boyer Chu. Because single-session Swiss games were a big part of this sectional, I’ll mention these members of winning teams: Anne Boboricken, Jim Hayashi, Dianne Shannon, Tania Reyes, Bruce Luttrell, Harry Shannon, Hugh Roberts, Eryl Barker, Ken Rosenfeld, Joel Koransky, Peggy Sprague, and Karen Hopkins.
