There will be a pro-am unit game on a Friday night in April. I’m pretty sure the date is April 27, but to make sure, check our website or contact Carole Dietz (408-395-6360), who is organizing it. These are enjoyable both for those willing to share their experience and those willing to learn.
Looking back to the President’s Day regional, Judy Fisher & Bonnie Beardsley started it off by winning the charity pairs. First in their strats were Mary Touris & Art Fonda and Jack Verson & Marilyn Imaoka-Yancey.
Strat tops in two-session open games were earned by Zag Kadah & Bassam Baroudi, David Chang & Boyer Chu. And in the limited games it was Philip Freiberger & Ed Lin, Mary Harvel & Happy Fordham, Alice Benyman & Gretchen Podd, Rodica Cailean & Mike Bennett, Richard Markell, Karen Kulander, Brenda Metz & Cheri Rodolfo, Rosemary Heath, Manju & Raghu Agarwal, Barbara Dahl, Stacie Bowman, Mo Maxfield & Joan Lynch, and Franklin Kitchiner.
On winning knockout teams were Rose Meltzer, Eileen Edwards, Peggy Chen, Paul Lee, Cassandra Leung, Hiram Shen, Joseph Chui, Peter Friedland, Li-Chung Chen, Dianne Shannon, Dan Turkus, Norman Marks, Jay Xu, Maxine & Ray Lubow, John Prior, Faye Parsons, Allan Malloy, and Wendy Fotland.
Swiss teams strats were topped by Don Nemiro, Cassandra Leung, Ivy Cheuh, Helen Chao, Paul Lee, Josephine Murray, Raghu & Manju Agarwal, Erma Mc Crory, Tania Reyes, Gary Porter, Harriel Shea, Panette Talia, Jim Tseng, and Marilyn Ribardo.
